Crystagen
Also known as: EDP, Glu-Asp-Pro
Crystagen is a synthetic tripeptide (Glu-Asp-Pro, EDP) short-peptide bioregulator developed by Vladimir Khavinson and colleagues at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology as an immune-system bioregulator. The Khavinson group reports it modulates immune-cell gene expression and chromatin organization, influencing T-cell, B-cell, and thymic epithelial activity via direct peptide-DNA interaction. Evidence is confined to single-group preclinical and small clinical studies; it is not FDA-approved and lacks independent Western validation. No CAS Registry Number is listed for this peptide in major chemical databases.
